The 3K side frames are a direct copy of the normal Align side frames but with the carbon fiber print effect. They cost slightly more to purchase than the standard frames ($3.50).
The plastic feels similar to the standard frames and the same care has to be taken when tightening up the side frame screws in case of stripping the thread.
The carbon print is nice but because of the intricate molding it doesn't have the same impact of looking like carbon fiber in the same way as the paddles or tail blades.
Obviously it doesn't affect flight performance in any way and is an upgrade you would do purely for aesthetic reasons.

You will also notice that I fitted the Align 3K paddles, I won't be reviewing these separately, again they are an aesthetic upgrade and offer no performance enhancement, I just felt they would go better with the black frames.
