The build overview video is now also completed. This isn’t a detailed video of how to build the 700N, more an overview of it being built and pointing out some of the features in the kit.

This evening I’ll be building the T-Rex 700N with Trev Burley. I’ll get some video and pictures for the blog. Short update but I got a heli to build

I shot a short video today of the Scorpion 1400kv 6S powered T-Rex 500 with the outrage XP 6S 2500 30C pack. It wasn’t the best day for video with a really strong wind from right to left, so the little 500 ended up downwind a bit. The video was just to show the power of the two matched items, motor and pack rather than a display of the T-Rex 500.
Coming soon for review is the Outrage G5 heli
I’ve just learned that this will also come with a flybarless head (option) pictured below.

Looks like the 700N is moving to production status, here we see the shots being taken for the website.

Newly arrived today is the GAUI EP200 SD, which is the ‘bling’ version of the normal EP 200.
This is a sub-micro sized heli (smaller than a T-Rex 450) and ideal as a fully 3D indoor heli, or even for full 3D outdoors in light winds. It comes fully built with motor, ESC and blades, just install radio gear and go fly.

Arrived today, two new packs from Helidirect. These are from the OutrageXP series, one is the new 30C 6S 2500 for the T-Rex 500, the other is a T-Rex 450 3S 2200 pack, again 30C rated.
Also in the same package was the new upgrade tail gearbox, tail grips (thrust raced) and tail pitch slider. I took a few snaps of the packs and the tail case after fitting.

Helidirect have just release their new 30C packs for the Align T-Rex 500.
The 6S 2500 30C weighs in at 388g.
I just finished comparing the OutrageXP 6S 2500 25C to the Align 6S 2600 25C so it will be interesting to see how this 30C pack and it’s 6S 2200 30C equivalent improve things due to that extra 5C on the rating.
One last item most worthy of mention is that the OutrageXP packs have the 50% crash replacement policy, so cost of ownership is very good indeed.
