Removing glitches by modding the CC25 / CC35 ESC by barefootzero of trextuning.com :

Here is how to remove glitching by adding capacitance.

Adding capacitors in parallel helps in the following way. When the voltage supplied by the BEC is higher then the voltage on the capacitor the capacitor stores energy and also will absorb any "spikes" in voltage from the BEC. During drops in voltage the capacitor will suply power to your reciever such that short drops in voltage from the BEC will not cause your reciever to glitch and overall the voltage suplied will apear "smoother".

First find the biggest capacitors you are willing to put on your heli that are rated for over 12V. Generaly if you roughly double the capacitance you double the wieght. I found that 440uF gets rid of most glitching on my CC35 ESC. The bigger your servos and everything else the more capacitance you will want. Anything over 880uF would probably be overkill.

The capacitors I used have their max voltage and capacitance listed on their side. Both are 220uF and are rated for 25V. Strangly enough these exactly match the capacitors that CC used on my Pheonix 35.

The capacitors are wired in parallel with the negative markings (see picture) both on the same side and the wires closest to the negative markings soldered to the brown wire coming from the ESC to the reciever. The other capacitor wire should be soldered to the red wire.
To solder just strip the wire where you are going to attach the capacitors aply a little bit of solder to the wire (often called tinning) then if your are using 2 capacitors twists their leads together, tin the leads, touch the leads to the wire and aply just enough heat to melt the solder. Some people prefer to use needle nose pliers to wrap the tinned leads around the tinned wires before soldering.

After you are done just rap electrical tape or heat shrink around the capacitors in a way that keeps the leads from touching.

Sence aplying this mod I have had one glitch after several hours of flight. Before mod my trex was glitching at least a dozen time every flight.
