| These fins are a one for one swap with the stock fins and are pre-drilled
to accept the same screws and mounting position as the fins they are replacing.
They are made from 1mm carbon fibre sheet and as such have good tensile
strength. As they are 1mm thick there is a fair degree of lateral bend
in the fins, particularly the long vertical fin. Weight wise they compare as follows : Stock Horizontal Stabilizer : 5g Stock Vertical Stabilizer : 6g Heliup Carbon Fibre Horizontal Stabilizer : 2g Heliup Carbon Fibre Vertical Stabilizer : 3g Total weight saving from Heliup fins : 6g In use the vertical fin provides ample protection from ground strike of the tail rotor. Neither fin presents much of a surface area to the wind and as such weather cocking of the tail is less of a problem for 3D pilots. Both fins are nicely made, well cut and strong enough for purpose.
