I have spent most of the week performing motor testing for my 4S motor super test. There are still quite a few tests to run but the results are coming along nicely. Check the forum for a list of motors in the supertest.

Posted the Heliup 'Near Indestructible' Undercarriage review.
The Heliup SDS Head also arrived for testing.
The HeliDirect CNC Head and Tail System arrived, along with a PolyQuest 3S PQ-B2100N-PL 2100mah pack.
Another carbon frame is also arriving from www.lipoly.at. This frame is most interesting as it contains virtually no CNC parts and is made purely of carbon fibre.
Ashtek Electronics have modified an Hitec HS-65HB with a HDS-877 control board to make a digital HS-65HB, TrexTuning will be looking at this hybrid to see what it can do.

Two new frames are being reviewed by TrexTuning. The first is from HeliDirect and is called the SuperFrame. During the review a number of issues arose and TrexTuning will be looking at the new revised version having given extensive feedback on what needs to be updated / changed.
HeliDirect will also be sending their new "Version 2" CNC Head and CNC Tail system.
Also arriving from Flying-Hobby is their new frame which looks very similar to the MicroHeli frame reviewed some months back.

The Align 325 Pro blade review has been withdrawn until re-testing can
be perfromed. A problem was found on one blade grip of the test machine
which allowed a 1-2 degree movement in the control system. This is enough
to cause all of the tracking and blade flutter problems experienced in
the test. The review will be re-posted once new test flights have been
flown.
Updated the MicroHeli QNC RotorHead review to highlight the need to use
strong loctite (243) on the blade grip control arm bolts (in light of the
above problem). |

Christmas is as usual causing mayhem and various reviews are now in a state
of partial completion, it looks like the Christmas holiday may be a good
time to do some catch up and get some Christmas articles and reviews published.
I hope to get a couple of them finished and out before Christmas hits.
Specifically the MicroHeli CNC rotor head and the MicroHeli adjustable
tail pitch slider. I'm also looking at trying to get the 450F and 430L
motor reviews sorted either before or during the Christmas break.
Also on the way is a comparison of three different chargers, representing
the low, medium and high end of the market. Plus an article on how to do
a nice spray job on your T-Rex canopy.

The homepage had become very slow to load due to banners. I have resolved
this by making the banners on the homepage rotate with each page display.
Hopefully this will improve the performance of the site homepage and reduce load times. |
